If you Windows 10 PC or device has a touchscreen, you could swipe in from a screen edge to invoke a system UI below.
Swipe in from the right side of your screen to open the action center.
Swipe in from the left to view all your open apps in task view.
Swipe in from the top to view a full screened app’s title bar while tablet mode is on.
Swipe in from the bottom to view the taskbar in full-screened apps while tablet mode is on or when the taskbar is auto-hidden.
This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable users from swiping in from the screen edge to invoke a system UI in Windows 10.
You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to enable or disable edge swipe.
Option One: To Enable or Disable Screen Edge Swipe using Group Policy
Option Two:To Enable or Disable Screen Edge Swipe using a REG file
OPTION ONE To Enable or Disable Screen Edge Swipe using Group Policy
The Local Group Policy Editor is only available in the Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions.
All editions can use Option Two below.
1 Open the Local Group Policy Editor: run gpedit.msc
2 In the left pane of Local Group Policy Editor, navigate to the location below.
Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Edge UI
In the right pane of Edge UI in Local Group Policy Editor, double click/tap on the Allow edge swipe policy to edit it.
3 Do step A (enable) or step B (disable) below for what you would like to do.
A. To Enable Screen Edge Swipe
Select (dot) Not Configured or Enabled, click/tap on OK, and go to step 4 below. (see screenshot below)
Not Configured[/B] is the default setting.
B. To Disable Screen Edge Swipe
Select (dot) Disabled, click/tap on OK, and go to step 4 below.
4 When finished, you can close the Local Group Policy Editor if you like.
5 Restart explorer, sign out and sign in to Windows, or restart the computer to apply.
OPTION TWO
To Enable or Disable Screen Edge Swipe using a REGEDIT
Start Regedit and add this key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\EdgeUI
AllowEdgeSwipe DWORD
(delete) = Enable
0 = Disable
Restart explorer, sign out and sign in to Windows, or restart the computer to apply.
